Facebook's Instant Articles tool is now live on Android and iOS

It then opens in the Facebook app, rather than loading the publisher's site

The article appears in a similar style and format to the original

It can also be shared more easily by clicking the 'Share' button

 

WHAT ARE INSTANT ARTICLES? 

Instant Articles appear in a person's news feed with a lightning bolt icon in the top right-hand corner. 

Clicking on an Instant Article opens the story within the Facebook app, rather than directing users to the original publisher's website.

The article is interactive and appears in a similar style and format to the original, however, it opens much faster. 

It can also be shared more easily by clicking the 'Share' button in the top right-hand corner of the story.
