Australia's Travis Dean becomes the first man in history to slam a century on debut in each innings of Sheffield Shield

Travis Dean helped Victoria to an outright victory in their match against Queensland at the Melbourne Cricket Ground, setting a series of records on the way, said a report in cricket.com.au.

Travis Dean(23) right-hand batsman made an unbeaten 154 in the first innings and complemented it with another unbeaten 109 in the second innings to propel his team to a nine-wicket win.

Travis Dean became the sixth player in the history of first-class cricket to score centuries in each innings on debut, placing himself alongside Arthur Morris, Nari Contractor, Virag Awate, Tharanga Indika and Aamer Malik.

Travis Dean's total of 263 runs is also the most by any batsmen on first-class debut, eclipsing Sri Lankan batsman Indika's 261 runs in 2011

Travis Dean faced 500 deliveries in both innings and spent 645 minutes at the crease and was at the crease for all 335.2 overs of the match.
