Longest Serving Chief Ministers of India

1)Jyoti Basu(July 08,1914 – January 17, 2010)

  • served as the Chief Minister of  West Bengal State from June 21,1977 to November 06,2000, making him the longest-serving Chief Minister in the country's history

2)Pawan Kumar Chamling(DOB Sep 22,1950)

  •  is the 5th and incumbent Chief Minister of the State of Sikkim since December 12,1994
  •  is the founder president of the Sikkim Democratic Front which has governed the state for five successive terms since 1994
  •  is also the longest standing Chief Ministers of India which has won the legislative assembly elections for 5 terms in a row and will be completing 25 years of governance by the next legislative elections, (2019) creating a political history in India. 

3)Manik Sarkar(DOB January 22,1949)

  • is a Politburo Member of  CPI(M)
  • has been Chief Minister of Tripura since March 11,1998
  • in the assembly elections held in 2013, he became the chief minister for the 4th consecutive time.
