Thiago Alcantra



Thiago Alcântara do Nascimento (DOBApril 11,1991) On 17 May 2009, aged 18 years old made his debut with the FC Barcelona first team when he came on as a substitute for Eiour Guojohnsen in the 63rd minute against RCD Mallorca

On 20 February 2010, after coming on as a substitute for Yaya Toure in the 76th minute, Thiago scored his first goal for Barcelona's first team in a 4–0 win against Racing de Santander at the Camp Nou

Thiago Alcantra ended the 2010–11 season with 17 games, three goals, and three assists

On 29 June 2011, Thiago signed a contract renewal keeping him at Barcelona until 30 June 2015, with a buyout clause of €90 million. The clause, which was insisted upon by the player's agent (Pep Guardiola's brother Pere) after talks with Thiago and his father, Brazilian World Cup winner Mazinho stated that the midfielder must feature for 30 minutes or more in 60 per cent of Barcelona's matches 

Thiago Alcantra participated in the 2008 UEFA European Under-17 Football Championship held in Turkey helping Spain to eventual victory in the tournament defeating France 4-0

Thiago Alcantra was ever-present during Spain's victorious  2011 UEFA European Under-21 Football Championship campaign, scoring the second goal of a 2–0 victory with a 40-yard free kick in the final against Switzerland. He was awarded the Man of the Match of the final.


On 18 June 2013, Thiago Alcantra grabbed a perfect hat-trick, scoring with his head, left foot, and right foot in the 2013 UEFA European Under-21 Football Championship Final as Spain defeated Italy 4–2 to win their fourth title
 


Thiago Alacantra made his first appearance for Spain's senior squad in a friendly against Italy on Aug 10,2011 while his first competitive match was on 6 September 2011, in a Euro 2012 Qualifying Match 6–0 win against Liechtenstein

Due to injury Thiago Alcantra missed Euro 2012 and 2012 London Olympics 


Bayern Munich Confirm Signing Thiago Alcantra

Bayern Munich have confirmed a deal to sign Spain international Thiago Alcantara from Barcelona.

A fee of £21.6million has been agreed between the two clubs for the services of the 22-year-old midfielder and he will sign a four-year deal once a medical has been completed

The signing of Thiago Alcantara from Barcelona was announced on Sunday July 14,2013 for a fee of £21.6m. Thiago Alcantara had reportedly been a target for Manchester United but has elected to team up with former Barca coach Pep Guardiola at the current champions of Europe

A short statement from Barcelona read: "FC Barcelona and FC Bayern Munich have reached an agreement over the transfer of the player Thiago Alcantara to the German club for a total of 25 million (euros).
"This agreement also includes holding a friendly match between the two teams, which will be played in the next four years."
