About Justice Sathasivam(DOB April 27, 1949)
- hailing from Kadappanallur village, Bhavani taluk in Erode district of Tamil Nadu
- was the first graduate in his family and the first law graduate in his village
- enrolled as an advocate in July 1973 at Madras
- appointed as a permanent Judge of the Madras High Court in January, 1996
- elevated to the Supreme Court in August, 2007
- is the first judge from Tamil Nadu to become the CJI
