World Naked Bike Ride

Thousands of naked cyclists bring Mexico City streets to standstill to mark the World Naked Bike Ride.

The event is to raise awareness of the importance of cycling for exercise and as a way to reduce fossil fuels.

Organisers say riding naked also highlights the fragility of the human body and the need for drivers to be more careful on busy city streets.

The movement began nine years ago in Canada and has been held every year in various cities around the world.

Naked cyclists take part in the World Naked Bike Ride on March 3, 2013 in Melbourne, Australia. The bike ride is intended to "peacefully expose the vulnerability of cyclists, humanity and nature in the face of cars, aggression, consumerism and non-renewable energy"

World Naked Bike Ride (WNBR) is an international clothing optional Bike Ride  in which participants plan, meet and ride together en masse on Human powered Transport(the vast majority on Bicyles, but some on skateboards and inline skates), to "deliver a vision of a cleaner, safer, body-positive world."

The 2004 WNBR saw events in 28 cities, in ten countries on four continents

The Dress Code Motto is "bare as you dare".
