An explosion on a London underground train at Parson Green station is being treated as an incident of “terrorism”, say police.
The explosion, which left several passengers with facial burns, occurred when a white container towards the rear of the train “went off”.
A photograph of the flaming white bucket taken just after it exploded around 8.20am shows a number of wires protruding out of the top and on to the train carriage floor
As Britain faced its fifth terror attack in a year it has emerged
- Crude bucket bomb left on Tube train - which had a timer - failed to explode properly but left 22 people injured;
- The majority of victims suffered 'flash burns' from head-to-toe but others suffered crush injuries in 'human stampede' as people fled the train and station;
- The IED used Christmas lights as a fuse, as recommended by ISIS magazines and online bomb manuals;
- Police are looking for the bomber - and a possible terror cell - and officers tell MailOnline that main suspect is armed and may have left other devices;
- Theresa May calls Government's Cobra emergencies committee after fifth attack since she became PM;
- Police have asked the public to dial 999 or the anti-terror hotline on 0800 789 321 if they see anything suspicious
