Cristiano Ronaldo, Lionel Messi & Neymar make FIFA best player shortlist

FIFA have announced their three contenders for ‘The Best Men’s Player of the Year’ award and there are few surprises

Cristiano Ronaldo leads the line after guiding Real Madrid to a Champions League and La Liga double.
The Portuguese star is joined by Lionel Messi for the prestigious prize, which was introduced last year.
The football world governing body revamped its awards after ending its association with French Football’s Ballon d’Or.
Along with Ronaldo and Messi, Paris Saint-Germain forward Neymar will make up the shortlist.
The winner will be handed the ultimate crown on October 23 in London.
The final three choices for FIFA’s manager of the year award were also unveiled.
Real Madrid’s Zinedine Zidane will be seeking to become the first person to claim a best player and coach award.
But the Frenchman will face stiff competition from two Italians. Chelsea boss Antonio Conte and Juventus’ Massimilliano Allegri.
