Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswamy Effects First Bureaucratic Re shuffle Monday March 06,2017

The Edappadi K. Palaniswami Government on Monday March 06,2017 went for a significant reshuffle of the bureaucracy, moving out 17 senior IAS officers.

This was the new CM Edappadi Palaniswami's first bureaucratic reshuffle after assuming office

Atulya Misra, presently in the Environment and Forest Department, has been appointed the new Industries Department Principal Secretary with incumbent Vikram Kapur being moved as Principal Secretary of the Energy Department, a post that was additionally managed by Rajeev Ranjan.

A notable change was the shifting of long-time School Education Department Principal Secretary D. Sabitha to a relatively insignificant post of Principal Secretary/Managing Director of Tamil Nadu Cements Corporation.

The post was until now held by IAS officer C. Kamaraj. T. Udhayachandran, the Managing Director of Tamil Nadu Salt Corporation, will now head the School Education Department as its Secretary.

Sunil Paliwal, hitherto Principal Secretary of Milk Production and Dairy Development Department,
would be the new Higher Education Department Principal Secretary replacing A. Karthik, who was holding additional charge.

Md. Nasimuddin has been posted as Environment and Forests Secretary.

While Satyabrata Sahoo would be the Chairman and Managing Director of Tamil Nadu Industrial Investment Corporation Ltd,

 Har Sahay Meena would be posted as the Managing Director of Tamil Nadu Salt Corporation.

R. Venkatesan has been posted as the Managing Director of Tamil Nadu Minerals Limited as its Managing Director. 

V. Palanikumar would be Commissioner of Tourism and Chairman and Managing Director of Tamil Nadu Tourism Development Corporation Limited and Dayanand Kataria would be Transport Commissioner.
