Travel means different things to different people. While for some it might be all about soaking up some sun on a beautiful beach for days on end, for others it’s about getting acquainted with new cultures. While some like to test themselves and get out of their comfort zone, for others it is all about indulgence and pampering oneself.
You purpose for visit may vary, but these destinations should be on your list regardless:
Malaysia

The great thing about Malaysia is that whatever travel means to you, you can find an experience here that will fulfill your wildest travel dreams. Add to that the great weather and the fact that it is super easy on the pocket and you’ll see that Malaysia has, quite literally, got it all.
Malaysia offers two very distinct experiences: the peninsula and Borneo (an island shared with Indonesia and Brunei). The peninsula is a mix of Malay, Chinese and Indian flavors with an efficient and modern capital, Kuala Lumpur. Malaysian Borneo features some of the most interesting places in Malaysia, with wild, thick jungles. With beautiful islands, luxury resorts and colonials towns, Malaysia presents a happy mix of adventure and relaxation.
Almost 2 million foreign tourists traveled to Malaysia in 2010. Most of them were citizens from neighboring countries such as Singapore and Indonesia but a growing number of other foreign tourists is discovering this country as well.
Thailand

Thailand, also known as the Land of Smiles, is the jewel of Southeast Asia. Developed enough to provide most comforts yet still wild enough to offer off-the-beaten path adventure, Thailand is a country ripe with opportunity for once-in-a-lifetime travel experiences. Whether you start with the world-class beaches in the south or the mountain villages in the north, Thailand will not disappoint you.
Cities like Bangkok and Chiang Mai are bustling hives of activity and commerce, but you haven't really seen the country until you've trekked up the mountains and enjoyed some face-time with elephants or the bold monkeys who will no doubt try to steal your lunch. Thailand's attractions are diverse and each provides a rewarding and memorable experience.
Indonesia

Indonesia is the 4th most populous country in the world and is made up of over 17,000 islands! However, often when people think of Indonesia, all that comes to mind is Bali. Although Bali is awesome in its own right, there is so much more to explore in Indonesia.
With over 17,000 islands it is a sure bet that Indonesia has some gorgeous beaches to laze around on. Whether you want to enjoy some water sports like surfing, parasailing, banana boating etc, or just lie in the sun and get a nice tan, Indonesia is where it’s all at. You can hang out on the popular Kuta beach in Bali, or the secluded Pink beach, part of the Komodo islands.
Indonesia is home to 20% of the world’s coral reefs and some of the best scuba diving and snorkelling you can find. There are many opportunities available for beginners as well as experienced divers, with lots of gear rental shops and live-aboard trips and so much more. Indonesia also has a lot of shipwrecks off its shores, which make for interesting dives. It's almost a shame to visit Indonesia and not get your feet wet.
You can also literally eat for days in Indonesia and always be trying something new.
Philippines

The country is known for its rich biodiversity, also its main tourist attraction. Its beaches, mountains, rainforests, islands and diving spots are among the country's most popular destinations. Its rich historical and cultural heritage is also one of the attractions of the Philippines. El Nido in Palawan, Davao, Boracay, Siargao, Cebu, Manila etcare must-sees for any explorer.
The Philippines is a former Spanish colony. This gives the Philippines a unique feel, nowhere to be found in Asia! If you love history and architecture, the Philippine islands are fully packed with churches; the people here are largely Roman Catholic, and the local form of transport is the‘Jeepney’.
Australia

Australia, as you will discover, is worth all the hype. From the sacred legends of the Aboriginal Dreamtime, when the great spirits roamed the coral reefs; armchair travellers who describe Australia as their dream destination - Australia is definitely worthy of a place on your travel bucket list. The world's smallest continent and largest island, Australia is almost the same size as the United States, but with a population the size of New York State and some of the quirkiest wildlife on the planet.
Australia is also a land of spectacular beauty. Along the coast, visitors can explore vibrant multicultural cities, safari across vast sand islands, trek through ancient rainforests, and dive into the Great Barrier Reef. In the Outback, rugged national parks and red-earthed deserts offer opportunities for ultimate adventure travel. Top it all off with a generally laidback vibe and friendly people, it's no wonder Australia is a must-visit for explorers across the globe.
New Zealand

Nature crafted New Zealand with the surreal beauty of a movie set; few destinations boast of so many natural wonders packed into such a small space. Snow-capped peaks, sparkling coves, coastal glaciers, rainforests, fjords, and fish-filled rivers are only some of the treasures travellers can explore. In Rotorua, one of the world's largest geothermal areas, visitors can witness the powerful forces that birthed these landscapes in the bubbling mud ponds and hissing springs.
New Zealand is a hotspot for adrenaline-fueled sports. Indulge in a spot of white water rafting, jet boating, heli-skiing, skydiving, and mountain biking and other outdoor adventures. The country is home to one of the highest bungee jumps in the world. Logistically, New Zealand is a breeze to travel around. Self-drive vacations are popular, and the country's diverse accommodations range from quaint bed and breakfast inns and eco-lodges to some of the world's most luxurious hotels.
