Akshay Kumar is set to star in another film, a biopic on T-Series founder Gulshan Kumar. Titled Mogul, the film will show the journey of Gulshan Kumar and how he created the empire that is T-Series.
T-Series tweeted the first poster of the film and announced Akshay Kumar's presence in it. Akshay also tweeted the poster and wrote, "My association with Him began with my very first film. He was The Emperor Of Music! Now know His story... #Mogul, The Gulshan Kumar story!"

Subhash Kapoor has been roped in to direct the film. Kapoor and Akshay have worked together this year in Jolly LLB 2. Akshay Kumar's association with T-Series dates back to 1991. His first film Sugandh, was produced by Gulshan Kumar.
Gulshan also produced a number of films including Lal Dupatta Malmal Ka (1989), Aashiqui (1990), Dil Hai Ke Manta Nahin, Meera Ka Mohan, and Jeena Marna Tere Sang. He was shot dead in 1997 by a contract killer outside a temple in Mumbai.
