Real life zebra crossing as five animals cross the road near a national park in Botswana

You're unlikely to find a zebra crossing while on safari in deepest Africa. 

However, it seems there are occasions when you might feasibly come across zebras crossing. 

In this instance photographer Paul Karnstedt snapped five of the creatures lined up on a road close to the Chobe National Park in Botswana as he returned to a nearby safari lodge.

Paul Karnstedt said: 'I work for Africa Albida Tourism, who own and operate Ngoma Safari Lodge. I was just on my way back to the lodge, close to Chobe National Park, when I suddenly saw this pack of zebras lining the road.

'They were just crossing, and didn't hang around for long - it really was a real life zebra crossing! I'm so glad I managed to capture it on camera.'

The zebra is the national animal of Botswana. 

Zebra they roam in family herds with adult stallions, mares and their foals; other stallion form bachelor herds or roam alone.
