The Head of
the European Parliament has announced he is going to return to German
national politics - and is hotly-tipped to be lining up a campaign to
become the country's next Chancellor.
Martin Schulz said on Thursday Nov 24,2016 he will be stepping down from his current role.
Although
he has not confirmed he will stand against Angela Merkel, experts
believe he will return to a prime position for the Social Democratic
Party (SDP).
