Lenovo Phab 2 Pro, company’s first official Project Tango smartphone has finally being made available.
The Phab 2 Pro was first announced in June and was slated to start shipping in August in the US and go on sale in September, but the availability was delayed to October 2016
It was then further delayed to November. Lenovo Phab 2 Pro is now finally listed on the company’s site for $499 (Rs 33,350 approx) in Gunmetal Grey colour option.
The Phab 2 Pro’s camera contains AR mode which can bring augmented reality (AR) to smartphones which will be seen in navigation, gaming and many other apps.
Once the Phab 2 Pro user switches on the AR mode, it gives him the option to choose from characters like cats, dogs and dragons.
These characters appear around the app and get superimposed into the real world.
These characters do a lot of fun things, like a cat chasing a laser.
The smartphone also contains real world applications like Raise and World, Phantogeist and Lowe’s Home Improvement.
Interestingly, in Home Improvement people can search for products and check how they appear in context before they buy it.
Through Raise, users can take their 3D virtual pet on walks, train them and flaunt on social media.
The Phab 2 Pro contains a 6.4-inch 2K display screen and is powered by the Qualcomm 652 processor along with 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage.
The smartphone has a 16MP rear camera with a special depth-sensing unit, and also multiple camera sensors.
The front camera is 8MP. The Phab 2 Pro is fueled by a 4,050 mAh battery and a fingerprint scanner.
It’s ability of 3D projections and figure out space, gives a whole new smartphone experience
