Jenni Falconer's always been super fit and has completed five marathons.
However, after injuring her Achilles, TV presenter Jenni Falconer was forced to put her usual running routine on hold.
After taking up weight training, the mother-of-one, 40, admitted she was astounded by the results.
Showing off her amazing figure in the new
issue of Fit & Well magazine, the Heart FM DJ admitted she's now
slimmer than she has been in years.
Jenni Falconer is proud mother to four-year-old Ella, but admits she's now nearly back in the clothes she wore before becoming pregnant.
She
explained: 'I was initially terrified of weights as I thought it would
make me bulk up, but all it’s done is make me a lot stronger.
'My waist is a little bit slimmer and I’ve lost weight on my arms.'
After
years of using running as her exercise method of choice, Jenni now
likes to pump iron with her personal trainer Omar at Matt Roberts'
Mayfair gym.
The super fit presenter admits she's glad that fitness has become trendier these days.
She
said: 'Women are no longer starving themselves, but enjoying the
transformation process. Even my mum plays golf and goes for walks with
friends.
'The
more we can get young girls to do exercise, the better. Especially as a
mum to a daughter – she follows my lead, so I have to set a good
example.'
