2016 Rio Olympic Games in Brazil Aug 05-21,2016 - Holders Mexico and twice winners Argentina were knocked out of the 2016 Rio Olympic Games Men's Football


 Mexico lost 1-0 to South Korea by conceding a goal to Kwon Chang-hoon in the 77th minute. The results left the Koreans top of Group C with seven points and Germany second with five. Mexico, who beat Brazil to win the gold in London four years ago, were eliminated along with Fiji

Argentina, who were Olympic champions in 2004 and 2008, crashed out after they were held to a 1-1 draw by Honduras in Group D

Portugal topped the standings on seven points after a 1-1 draw with Algeria in the other match.

Honduras claimed the second qualifying spot by virtue of a superior goal difference over Argentina, who missed a penalty in their match, with both sides finishing on four points
