Emirates flight EK521 from Thiruvananthapuram crash-landed at the Dubai International Airport on Wednesday August 03,2016, but the 282 passengers and 18 crew members on board were quickly evacuated safely.
The reason behind the crash-landing is still not known, but eyewitnesses said the landing gear collapsed as the plane hit the runway.
"Emirates can confirm that an incident happened at Dubai International Airport on 3rd August 2016 at about 12.45 PM local time," the airlines said in a statement
"We can confirm flight EK521 from Thiruvananthapuram to Dubai has been involved in an accident at Dubai International. Our main priority now is the safety and well-being of all involved. We are extending full co-operation to authorities and emergency services managing the situation. We will update the Emirates website and social media channels as more information becomes available," the airlines said.
All flights from Dubai International Airport have delayed until further notice, the Dubai Media Office tweeted.
"All passengers were evacuated safely and no injuries have been reported so far. Concerned Authorities at Dubai International Airport are dealing with the incident at the moment to ensure safety of all. All departure flights from #Dubai International Airport have been delayed until further notice," Dubai Media Office tweeted.

The Emirates

into flames was carrying 24 Britons, it has emerged.
Emirates has revealed that 6 Americans, 4 Irish passengers and 2 Australians were also on board the stricken flight
There were also 226 Indian passengers, 11 from the UAE, 6 from Saudi Arabia and 5 from Turkey.
A
passenger list reveals there were also nationals from Brazil, Germany,
Malaysia, Thailand, Croatia, Egypt and Bosnia & Herzegovina.
There was one passenger each from Lebanon, the Philippines, South Africa, Switzerland and Tunisia.
