Indian captain Virat Kohli scored his maiden Test double century against the West Indies on the second day of first Test at the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium in Antigua on Friday July 22,2016

Virat Kohli, who took 281 deliveries to achieve the milestone, became the first Indian Test captain to smash a double ton on foreign soil.

Overall, Kohli is the 5th Indian captain to score a Test double ton.

Former India captain Mohammad Azharuddin scored 192 against New Zealand in 1990.

Virat Kohli's previous highest score in Tests was 169 against Australia at the Melbourne Cricket Ground in 2014.
