In 2014, England lost to India at Lord's but went on to win the series 3-1. In 2015, England lost to Australia at Lord's but England but won the Ashes 3-2. So, what will it be against Pakistan?

With the Old Trafford surface likely to offer more turn, England has roped in Saqlain Mushtaq, the former Pakistan offspinner, as a coaching consultant.

Stokes was looking forward to working with Saqlain, who took 4 for 74 when Pakistan beat England by 108 runs in the second Test at the ground in 2001

England have won seven matches at Old Trafford and are unbeaten in nine Tests since they lost to Pakistan here in 2001.
