2016-17 Barclays Premier League - Liverpool sign midfielder from Newcastle for £25m Friday July 22,2016

Liverpool have signed Netherlands international Georginio Wijnaldum from Newcastle for £25m.

The 25-year-old midfielder, who had a medical with the Premier League side on Friday July 22,2016, has signed a five-year contract.

Georginio Wijnaldum joined Newcastle United for  £14.5m from Dutch side PSV in 2015, playing in all 38 of the club's Premier League games last season and scoring 11 goals.
He is the Reds' 7th signing so far.

• Red Star Belgrade midfielder Marko Grujic (£5.1m) (the deal went through in January, but he did not join Liverpool until 1 July)

• FC Augsburg defender Ragnar Klavan (£4.2m)
• Free-agent goalkeeper Alex Manninger (free transfer)
