Winners of Britain's biggest ever Lotto jackpot

The couple were presented with a cheque for £33million 

  • Winners are David and Carol Martin from Hawick in the Scottish Borders
  • They were eating a bacon and black pudding roll when they checked ticket
  • The couple celebrated by having lots of cups of tea and phoning daughter
  • They're also planning to pay for Lisa, 26, to make visit home from Australia
  • Mr Martin said his first purchase will be to buy a 'nice pair of £200 brogues'
  • Lotto prize split between two tickets but other winner hasn't come forward

The couple have revealed that they realised they had won half of the historic £66million lottery jackpot while tucking into a bacon and black pudding roll 
Splashing out: They said at a press conference this morning (pictured) that one of their first purchases will be a first-class ticket home for their 26-year-old daughter Lisa, who is working in Australia
They celebrated with some champagne 
Mr Martin, who enjoyed a swig of champagne from the bottle, said he was going to buy a pair of £200 brogues

  1. Lucky they are! As for the second winner. They say it showed up claiming you winning ticket was spoiled accidentally when she was doing the laundry. I'm currently trying luck in Aussie games. Hope after checking Australian lotto results next time, I'll also become a millionaire.
