Jaipur Metro allows 25kg baggage per passenger, earlier limit was 15kg Wednesday January 20,2016

The Metro Passengers in Jaipur can now carry up to 25 kilograms of goods and baggage.
In a notification, the Jaipur Metro Rail Corporation (JMRC) set the maximum limit of load capacity per passenger.

The current limit was 15 kg and passengers had been complaining about this now and then.

“While travelling in Jaipur Metro, a passenger may carry with him one or more baggage not exceeding 25 Kg in total gross weight,” says the notification.

The decision is likely to enhance the ridership of the Jaipur Metro.

The notification has also changed the dimensions of luggage.

Now a baggage with dimension of 100 cm length, 60cm breadth and 30cm height can be carried in the metro by the passengers against existing dimension of 60x45x25 (cms).

Opinion of 22,000 passengers from 130 stations were taken by the Jaipur Metro for the survey.
