Adele's comeback song Hello becomes the fastest-selling single in 18 years

 

Adele's comeback song Hello - which she first unveiled on October 23,2015 - has become the fastest-selling single in almost two decades

The first single from her upcoming album, entitled 25, is the first song to top 400K sales in each of its first three weeks since Elton John's Candle in the Wind, which was released in 1997 as a tribute to the late Princess Diana, making it the fastest-selling single in 18 years.

When the accompanying video to Hello first appeared online it smashed Internet records, racking up 27.7 million views in just 24 hours.

It was also streamed 7.32 million times in its first week, breaking the record previously held by Justin Bieber's What Do You Mean?
