Martin(21) proved perseverance pays off when she was crowned Miss Universe
Australia 2014 at the national final in Melbourne on Friday night.
It was the model's third try for the crown after being defeated in the pageant in 2011 and 2013
Tegan Martin will represent Australia at the international competition later this
year, and also took home an $8000 wardrobe, $2000 portfolio photoshoot
and professional representation for her 12-month reign
Last year's winner Olivia Wells handed over her crown to Tegan Martin
