Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif gifts a sari to Narendra Modi’s mother

Prime Minister Narendra Modi's mother Heeraben shows the white saree gifted to her by Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.

Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has sent a sari for the mother of his Indian counterpart, who had gifted a shawl to the Pakistani leader’s mother. 

Expressing his gratitude, Narendra Modi on Thursday June 05,2014 thanked Nawaz Sharif for the gift, which he said, he will soon send to his mother. 

“Nawaz Sharifji has sent a wonderful white Sari for my Mother. I am really grateful to him & will send it to my Mother very soon,” Narendra Modi tweeted

Narendra Modi had sent a shawl for Nawaz Sharif’s mother after which the daughter of the Pakistani leader — Maryam Nawaz Sharif — tweeted, “Thank u v much PM @narendramodi for the beautiful shawl for my grandmother. My father personally delivered it to her.”
