India's Vikram Joshi has won the World Quizzing Championships. Vikram scored 176 points out of a possible 210 including a full house in the History category. USA's Steve Perry took the second spot with a score of 174 and in third place was World Quizzing Champion, England's Kevin Ashman with 170
In the top 100, there are four other Indians. They are Rahul Kottalgi (rank 38, score 129), Arul Mani (rank 59, score 123) and S Bhattacharrya (rank 81, score 119).
World Quizzing Championship
The World Quizzing Championship is an individual Quiz contest organised by the International Quizzing Association (the umbrella organisation of various quizzing organisations from more than 25 countries around the world)
The competition has been staged annually since 2003 (since 2004 in more than one country simultaneously) with an increasing number of contestants from an increasing number of nations.
The reigning champion is Pat Gibson, an Irishman living in England who has, since 2004, been an ever-present in the England quiz team
