Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa inaugutated throu' video conferencing Tanjore and Dindigul  Corporation at the Secretariat on Wednesday Feb 19,2014

 Note

1)Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa had announced at the Assembly on April 10, 2013, that the municipality would be upgraded as Municipal Corporation.
2)The population of the newly created Corporation limits is 2.7 lakh.
3)The annual revenue to the exchequer is expected to be around Rs.30 crore.
4)The 12 Municipal Corporations in Tamilnadu are -

• Salem


• Erode
