Aditya Joshi becomes first Indian to be world No. 1 junior shuttler

Indian badminton is witnessing another star in the making. Aditya Joshi from Dhar, Madhya Pradesh, became the first male junior badminton player from India to be ranked top in the world.

Aditya Joshi jumped ten places in the latest rankings issued by the Badminton World Federation to be ranked number one with 18776 points.

Indonesia's Christie Jonatan and China's Zhao Jun Peng are ranked second and third respectively.

Another Indian, Harsheel Dani, is also in the top ten with eighth ranking.

Aditya Joshi became the Junior National Champion in 2013 after winning the title in Chandigarh. 

Aditya Joshi also won the singles and doubles crowns in the Sushant Chipalkatti Memorial India Junior International Badminton Championships in September.
