The Outgames are open to all who wish to participate, without regard to sexual orientation

The World Outgames are sponsored by the Gay and Lesbian International Sports Association
Host cities intentionally switch between North America and Europe
In 2006 with over 8,000 participants, the 1st World Outgames was held in Montreal,Canada
In 2009,the 2nd World Outgames was held in Copenhagen,Denmark
In 2013,the 3rd World Outgames is scheduled to be held in Antwerp,Belgium during July 31-Aug 11,2013
