Education Minister P.K. Abdu Rabb has said on Thursday Oct 10,2013 -
at the State-wide inauguration of ‘Snehapoorvam,’ a programme of the Directorate of Higher Secondary Education, which aims at raising the quality of high school education in the State. Until Class 8, students were promoted irrespective of whether they passed or failed in exams. This led to pass percentage in high school classes getting affected. To avoid this, teachers needed to work more proactively among students in lower classes and the Govt is working towards creating a system whereby students in higher classes will pass without moderation
