Wayne Rooney's record-breaking campaign continues after the Manchester United star became the highest scoring player for a single team in Premier League history on Sunday January 17,2016

Wayne Rooney  netted his 176th goal for the Red Devils as they edged out fierce rivals Liverpool 1-0 at Anfield


Wayne Rooney rattled in a 78th-minute strike to set the new record, and the achievement comes after the Three Lions striker became England's all-time top scorer in September 2015
Wayne Rooney belted home a penalty against Switzerland to nudge ahead of United legend Sir Bobby Charlton on 50 goals.


However, after being informed about his latest milestone, the United skipper admitted he was unaware about it prior to the game.
