BSNL had earlier announced the scheme for new customers.
"Earlier, BSNL had reduced call rate by up to 80%for its new prepaid mobile customers only and now the same has been extended for existing BSNL prepaid users also," the company said in a statement.
The call rates have been reduced for both per minute and per second billing plans.
"Our tariffs are most competitive in the industry having largest network coverage. Two new special tariff vouchers (STV) have also been introduced," BSNL Board Director (Consumer Mobility) RK Mittal said.
BSNL is taking various initiatives to improve its services and add more customers
BSNL has also gone mobile number portability (MNP) positive with 1,57,564 people joining its network and 1,24,158 leaving its network between July to November period.
At the end of September 2015, BSNL mobile customer base stood at 79.6 million and the company figured among top 5 players in terms of new subscriber addition during the month
