PM Modi's 'Give It Up' campaign on LPG subsidy saves Rs 140 crore for government

 
There are as many as 14.54 crore active LPG consumers in India, of which at least one crore consumers are eligible to surrender their subsidy.

As on July 22,2015 around 12.6 lakh Indians have given up their subsidy.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been urging citizens who can to give up their subsidy.
In one of the biggest 'Give It Up' campaigns, over a million Indians have given up their LPG subsidy in just three months.

According to the government, over 20,000 people are giving up their subsidy daily, and the estimated money saved by government is Rs 140 crore.
