US President Barack Obama has signed a two-year bipartisan federal budget bill, averting the risk of a government shutdown in January 2014
The hard-fought legislation was passed by both the Senate and the House of Representatives
The Democrat-controlled Senate passed the measure by 67-33
The US House of Representatives has approved a two-year federal budget bill by a 332-94 vote.
The bill had been drafted by a cross-party budget committee set up after 16-day government shutdown in Oct 2013
