Perturbed by the near total shutdown and widespread protests in 13 districts from the students and youth besides civil society organisations, over a dozen Ministers and large number of MLAs and MLCs attended a meeting at the Ministers Club House on Thursday Aug 1,2013
There was near unanimity among them that they should resign and also
force the Union Ministers and MPs to follow suit.
“We have to
clear the air and explain to them that it was the TDP and the YSR
Congress which are responsible for the present crisis,” a senior
Minister remarked at the meeting.
Under Pressure MLA's Quit
In Anantapur District indicate that all five MLAs, Payyavula Keshav, Palle
Ragunath Reddy, Paritala Sunitha, B. K. Parthasarathy, K. Venkata Prasad
have decided to resign and send in their resignations to the Assembly
Speaker, after witnessing the widespread protests by thousands of people
in the district headquarter town and elsewhere
In Krishna District,at least three other MLAs including Devineni Uma
have also decided to resign as they faced heat from the people who were
calling for bandhs and organising protests in front of the house of
people’s representatives

TDP's Harikrishna Resigns Sunday Aug 4,2013
Rajya Sabha Member of Telugu Desam Party(TDP)N. Harikrishna on
Sunday Aug 4,2013 resigned his membership of the Upper House demanding justice for
both Telangana and coastal districts on account of bifurcation of the
State.
Harikrishna signed his resignation paper at his father NTR’s memorial and sent it to Rajya Sabha’s presiding officer
