ICC Champions Trophy is a ODI Cricket Tournament organised by the ICC, second in importance only to theCricket World Cup
The tournament was inaugurated as the
ICC Knock Out Tournament in 1998 and has been played approximately every two years since
The tournament's name got changed to the Champions Trophy in 2002
Since 2009, the tournament has only involved the eight highest-ranked ODI teams as of six months prior to the tournament

The tournament was held in Sri Lanka where 12 Teams participated.Of which,India;South Africa;Australia and Sri Lanka entered into the semi-finals
