Rishabh Pant broke MS Dhoni’s record of scoring the fastest half century against Mumbai Indians to guide Delhi Capitals to a comfortable victory in their first match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2019 on Sunday.
Pant looked extremely comfortable against the Mumbai Indians bowling attack and was able to reach his fifty in just 18 balls.In the process, he surpassed Chennai Super Kings skipper Dhoni’s 20-ball fifty that he scored in 2012.
However, that is not the fastest fifty in IPL as KL Rahul leads the list having reached the mark in 14 balls last season. Sunil Narine and Yusuf Pathan hold the second spot with fifties in just 15 deliveries
