Robert Lopez, who won an Oscar for Best Original Score along with his wife Kristen Anderson-Lopez for their song 'Remember Me' from the animated film Coco, has just become the first double EGOT in history.

What is an EGOT?
An EGOT is a person who has won an Emmy, a Grammy, an Oscar and a Tony.

There are 12 people who have managed to become an EGOT once, including names such as Mel Brooks, Rita Moreno, and Whoopi Goldberg.

Robert Lopez won his first Oscar (with his wife) in at the 2014 Academy Awards for the now iconic song 'Let It Go' from the animated film Frozen. He has won two Daytime Emmys for his work on Wonder Pets, an animated children's series. Lopez has won three Grammys spanning across his career — Best Musical Theater Album (Book of Mormon), Best Song Written for Visual Media ('Let It Go') and  Best Compilation Soundtrack for Visual Media (Frozen). Lopez has also won every single Tony that he has ever been nominated for —  Best Book and Best Original Score for Book of Mormon and Best Original Score for Avenue Q.

Robert Lopez is also the youngest person to become an EGOT having rounded up all his honours at just the age of 39 his first time around. He is also the quickest person to have one all four awards, having taken just 10 years to win an award each across all four forums.
