The Gujarat government has made it mandatory for all schools in the state to teach Gujarati language to their students.
This was announced by state's Education Minister Bhupendrasinh Chudasama in the state Assembly on Tuesday March 27,2018
"Irrespective of the board they are affiliated to, including the CBSE, ICSE, IB, CISEC or IGCSE, teaching Gujarati will be mandatory for every school in the state,'' the minister said.
The minister also took to Twitter about the state government's move to make Gujarati compulsory in all schools across the state.
