New Zealand has been shaken by another earthquake, just a day after the country's centre was rattled by two massive quakes.
Just before 8.30pm Thursday night Sep 21,2017 New Zealand was struck with a 2.7 magnitude earthquake about 15 kilometres south-east of Seddon.
The earthquake was 15 kilometres in depth and was described as 'weak' by GeoNet
It comes just a day after two huge earthquakes shook the centre of the country.
On Wednesday Sep 20,2017, a 6.1 magnitude earthquake struck southwest of Invercargill which was followed by a 5.1 magnitude quake northeast of Seddon
The 6.1 magnitude quake was initially classified as a strong quake, hitting a depth of 10 kilometres.
It is believed the two quakes Wednesday were not linked despite being exactly one hour apart.
New Zealand authorities have issued a reminder to 'drop, cover, and hold' in the event of an earthquake.
