The U.S. women's 4x100 relay team have retained their Olympic crown after winning gold in their race at the Rio Games with the second-fastest time ever run at 41.01
Running in lane one of the track at the Olympic stadium, all four members of the U.S. team did their part with clean handovers of the baton, a far cry from Thursday's first heat when a botched handover led to the women asking for a rerun.
By the time
Allyson Felix, English Gardner, Tianna Bartoletta had run their legs and
handed the baton to Tori Bowie for the final anchor leg of the race,
the U.S. had a comfortable lead over their closest rivals, Jamaica.
