Former
governor and failed GOP presidential candidate Rick Perry is joining
the cast of TV show Dancing with the Stars competition show for the season premiering on September 12,2016
- joining the likes of Ryan
Lochte
Rick Perry,
who was Texas governor 15 years, ran for president twice, in 2012 and
for this election.
Rick Perry withdrew his candidacy in September 2015 when
Donald Trump became the clear frontrunner
Rick Perry, who
has no dancing experience to speak of, will be in a competitively tough
field of entertainers with dancing chops and athletes, including 'Cryin'
Ryan Lochte, who is still taking heat for lying about being robbed at
gunpoint by police in Rio de Janeiro.
Rick Perry
will be twinkle toeing against the likes of Marilu Henner, who took her
first dance class at two years old, Olympians Laurie Hernandez and
Lochte, and '90s hip-hop star Vanilla Ice who still has some Ice Ice
Baby moves in his groove.
Other cast members will
include country singer Jana Kramer, retired football star Calvin
Johnson, Brady Bunch's Maureen McCormick, R&B producer Kenneth
'Babyface' Edmonds, talkshow host Amber Rose, The Fosters' Jake T.
Austin, and Little Woman: LA star Terra Jole
