IndiGo is introducing the international Red Eye flights concept in the Indian skies.
In a communication to travel agents, IndiGo has said it will be
launching very late night non-stop flights between Delhi-Mumbai,
Delhi-Chennai, and Delhi-Bengaluru from October 15,2015
Such late night flights are popularly called ‘Red Eye’ flights in the US
because they operate late at night at fares that are much lower than
what airlines normally charge.
As part of the plan, IndiGo plans to operate its 17{+t}{+h} non-stop
flight between Mumbai and Delhi with a departure time of 2 am and
arrival at 4.10 a.m. This flight will become operational from October 26
with fares starting at Rs. 3,055.
Chennai travellers can avail of the opportunity of the ninth direct
flight to Delhi provided they are willing to travel on a flight leaving
at 10.35 p.m. and getting into Delhi at 1.15 a.m. Flyers in Bengaluru
wanting to travel to Delhi can leave at 10.15 p.m. and reach the Capital
at 12.55 am in the morning.
