White House lit up in `Pride` colours to celebrate same sex marriage ruling Friday June 26,2015

The White House was lit up in rainbow colours on Friday night June 26,2015 in celebration of the Supreme Court`s decision to lift same sex marriage bans across the country

A White House official said that it was done to demonstrate the White House`s unflinching commitment to progress and equality in America and around the world.

He added that the pride colours reflected the diversity of the LGBT community and added that the colours that lit up the White House building celebrated a new chapter in the history of American civil rights
