2014 Wimbledon Starts Today Monday June23,2014

Wimbledon opens today after a weekend of above-average temperatures, with a summery 25C (77F) across the South East yesterday.
Forecasters predict that the weather will remain sunny and warm for the next three days, but temperatures will be more usual for this time of year at around 21C (70F).
Scores of tennis fans pitched tents outside the All England Club in Wimbledon in a bid to get tickets ahead of the opening while sun-seekers had packed out beaches along the south coast by lunchtime.
An estimated 50,000 people filled the seven-mile beach at Bournemouth, Dorset, and it was even pleasant in the waves with water temperatures reaching 15C (59F).

Tennis fans arrived in Wimbledon yesterday with plenty of camping gear as they prepared to queue overnight in an attempt to get tickets for the tournament in the morning

Forecasters at the Met Office said the warm weather was set to last until Wednesday before wet weather set in on Thursday - when festival-goers will descend on Glastonbury in Somerset.
