2014 Canadian Grand Prix Sunday June 08,2014


Daniel Ricciardo won the 2014 Canadian Grand Prix on Sunday June 08,2014, breaking the Mercedes stranglehold on the Formula One circuit.
 The race was the 7th round of the 2014 F 1 Season  and marked the 51st running of the Canadian Grand Prix

Daniel Ricciardo scored a sensational maiden Formula One grand prix victory as the wheels finally came off the Mercedes juggernaut in Canada


Daniel Ricciardo became the 4th Australian to win a Formula One Grand Prix following -
  • Jack Brabham
  • Allan Jones and
  • Mark Webber

On yet another captivating day for the sport this season, the race at the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve was a classic, with rising Red Bull star Ricciardo ending Mercedes’ run of six consecutive wins, and five straight one-twos

Daniel Ricciardo,the Red Bull driver earned his first Formula One victory and the first win this year for any driver other than Mercedes' Nico Rosberg and Lewis Hamilton.
Daniel Ricciardo passed Rosberg, the points leader and pole-sitter, with two laps to go.

Lewis Hamilton was knocked out in the 48th lap with a brake problem
