Earth Hour is a global event organized by WWF(World Wide Fund for Nature also known as World Wildlife Fund) WWF asks households and businesses to turn off their non-essential lights and other electrical appliances for one hour to raise awareness towards the need to take action on climate change.Electricity generation contributes to as much as 35% of our global carbon emissions. This Earth Hour, a simple act, a reminder, of the power that lies in our hands to reduce our emissions.

Millions in India turn off lights for Earth Hour
