Engine, Power, and Performance
The major difference first off here are the engines.
While the Nexon AMT is powered by both petrol and diesel engines, Maruti Suzuki has launched the Vitara Brezza in only diesel model.
The Brezza used to get a 5-speed manual until MSI launched it with the 5-speed Automatic Gear Shift (AGS) gearbox which can be found on the 2018 Swift.

Variants, Safety, and Features
Maruti Suzuki is offering the Vitara Brezza AMT in a number of variants which ranges from the VDi to the range-topping ZDi+ variant. The amount of equipment is at par with the Brezza manual variant.
This means the Brezza AMT gets auto-climate control, SmartPlay infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, electronic ORVMs, reverse camera, automatic headlamps, rain-sensing wipers, and alloy wheels which come as standard.
For those who think the ZDi+ is too much, they can avail a lower-spec ZDi trim, and also a VDi variant. The VDi does not get most of the equipment offered on the ZDi+ but gets the essential two airbags, ABS with EBD, rear parking sensors, and keyless entry.

Price
We would have said that the pricing is where the Maruti Suzuki shines considering the Vitara Brezza is offered in the top-spec ZDi+ variant, ZDi, and VDi variants which make the Brezza affordable.
But Tata has also launched the Nexon AMT in the mid-level XM variant, which means they have taken the fight by the horns. But the top spec ZDI+ Brezza is cheaper than the Nexon AMT by Rs 10,000, with the features list almost identical.
With the entry of the Brezza AMT, it begs the question whether the Brezza is as good as the Nexon AMT, better, or worse. Your call!
