Taylor Swift retreated from the spotlight after her feud with Kim Kardashian and Kanye West last year, with social media users branding her a 'snake' at the time.
But
on Saturday, Taylor Swift had the last laugh as her first song since
the scandal broke multiple records just one day after it's release.
Spotify
announced on Twitter Saturday: 'With over 8m streams, the new
@taylorswift13 single has broken 1st day streaming records.'
In addition to the Spotify record, YouTube said Saturday the song's
lyric video broke a record for its site, with more than 19 million same
day views
The track, titled Look What You Made Me Do, was released to digital platforms on Friday at midnight August 25,2017
Starved
for more Swift, her fan base were quick to check out LWYMMD, her first
effort since releasing her 2014 album titled 1989.
