In dollar terms China’s growth is best among BRIC countries

Measured by its national currency, the Indian economy in 2016 was 10.6 times its size two decades ago. In dollar terms, however, it grew only 5.6 times in the same period. 

The Chinese Renminbi, in contrast, has appreciated and growth in China’s economy is higher in dollar terms than in its own currency.
